The Real estate agents edition
The AI news of that week, in plain language.
This week: AI that turns property photos into 3D worlds, new valuation data, and the deepfake fraud that could hit your office too.
Adobe 'Wonder' turns a single photo into a virtual tour
This new AI builds a 3D world from a photo or video, letting buyers explore it without expensive 3D work.
Adobe Research and Johns Hopkins University have introduced 'Wonder': an AI that converts a photo or video into a navigable 3D world. Buyers can 'move' through a space in six directions. The technology is still at the research stage, but the idea is clear: virtual viewings and product presentations without hiring an expensive 3D modeller.
Background for subscribersTools like this will be useful for bringing an empty or shell property to life. But the boundary stays the same as with virtual staging: you can help a buyer's imagination, you cannot embellish the condition of the property. Always make it clear that the image is an AI impression. From 2026, the EU AI Act will require this in any case.
taXapi connects the Altum AI property value to the valuation workflow
Valuation software taXapi has integrated the Woningwaarde API, the Interactieve Referentie API, and the Kadaster Transactie API from Altum AI. The automated value indication is based on real transactions and current property characteristics. Building a file is faster because required attachments and reference data are pulled together automatically.
