Terms

The agreement, in short

In plain language. By subscribing you agree to these.

Last updated: 17 July 2026.

This is an English translation, offered to help you read along. The Dutch version of these terms is the official one. If the English and Dutch texts differ, the Dutch text applies.

1. Who we are

inklaretaal is a newsletter service. It is provided by inklaretaal, a general partnership (vennootschap onder firma, vof).

  • Name: inklaretaal (vof)
  • Address: Edisonstraat 13, 1098 SZ Amsterdam
  • KvK-nummer: 42104394
  • Email: info@inklaretaal.nl

2. What we deliver

Every week you receive a newsletter for your field. The text is in plain language and tuned to your level and to the details you give us about your work. You also get the Academy: a set of short lessons. With it you learn step by step how to apply AI. We do our best to present the news accurately and clearly. The newsletter contains information and is not professional advice. Decisions you make based on this information remain your own responsibility.

Buying on behalf of an organisation?

These terms are written for you as an individual reader. Does an employer buy access for a team? Then we make separate arrangements with the organisation. The consumer rights in these terms do not apply in that case. This includes, for example, the 14-day cooling-off period and the free first month. Instead, the arrangements we make with the organisation apply.

3. Signing up and confirming

You sign up with your email address and confirm through the link in our email. Only after that do you receive the newsletter.

4. Cooling-off period (right of withdrawal)

You can always cancel, at any time, without a reason. You keep that right forever (see “Cancelling” below).

On top of that, as a consumer you have 14 days to change your mind from the moment you take out your subscription. That is a one-time right: within those 14 days you may undo the whole signup, without a reason and at no cost. You let us know at info@inklaretaal.nl or on your account page.

Starting right away, and what that means

Our service is digital and your first edition may arrive within those 14 days. To let you start straight away, we ask you to agree separately:

“Yes, start the service right away. I understand that by doing so I give up my 14-day cooling-off period as soon as the service is delivered.”

This costs you nothing: your first month is free and you can cancel at any time. The only thing you give up is the one-time cooling-off period. Once your first edition has been sent, you can no longer undo the signup retroactively. You can still cancel going forward.

If you do not give this consent, your subscription does not start and you keep your full 14 days to change your mind. You can still sign up later.

Model withdrawal form

(only fill in and return this form if you want to withdraw from the agreement)

To: inklaretaal, info@inklaretaal.nl

I hereby notify you that I withdraw from our agreement on the supply of the following service: the subscription to the inklaretaal newsletter.

  • Ordered on:
  • Name:
  • Address:
  • Email address:
  • Date:

(If sent on paper: your signature too.)

5. Price and payment

You can choose: pay monthly or yearly. Per month your first newsletter costs €7.50. Each extra newsletter you choose costs €2 per month:

  • 1 newsletter: €7.50 per month.
  • 2 newsletters: €7.50 + €2 = €9.50 per month.
  • 3 newsletters: €11.50 per month, and so on, €2 per extra newsletter.

All prices include VAT. The levels (Starter, Practical, In-depth) are always included and cost nothing extra. See also our pricing.

Paying yearly (better value)

Prefer to pay per year? Then you pay the amount of ten months for a whole year. So two months are free:

  • 1 newsletter: €75 per year (about €6.25 per month).
  • 2 newsletters: €75 + €20 = €95 per year.
  • 3 newsletters: €115 per year, and so on, €20 per extra newsletter.

These prices include VAT too. You choose whether you pay monthly or yearly, and you can switch later on your account page.

Automatic renewal of a yearly subscription

A yearly subscription automatically renews for another year once that year is up. We send you an email well in advance with the date and the amount, so you can still cancel if you don’t want to renew. You can read how cancelling works below under point 6.

Free first month

Your first month is free. After that your subscription automatically becomes a paid subscription, unless you cancel before the end of that month. A few days beforehand we send you an email saying the paid period is about to start, with the amount and how to cancel. The free month applies once per person. If you cancel and start again later, your subscription starts as paid right away.

Payment and invoices

Payments run through our payment partner Stripe. We do not store your card details. You get an invoice for every payment.

Price changes

We may adjust the price. We let you know of a change well in advance, so you can still cancel if you disagree.

6. Cancelling

You’re never tied down for long.

  • During the free first month you stop at no cost. Cancel before the end of that month and you pay nothing.
  • After that, on a monthly subscription, it continues month by month and you can cancel at any time, with a notice period of at most one month. After you cancel, your subscription runs until the end of the period you have already paid for; then it stops.
  • Have a yearly subscription? In the first year, your cancellation takes effect at the end of that year. Once your yearly subscription has renewed automatically, you can cancel at any time, with a notice period of at most one month. We refund the unused part of the year pro rata.

You can cancel on your account page, through your preferencesor at the bottom of every email. You don’t have to give us a reason.

7. Your data

How we handle your data, you read in our privacy policy.

8. Fair use

The content is for you as a reader. Feel free to share an edition with someone who would enjoy it too, but do not republish it under your own name or reuse it commercially without permission.

9. Liability

We do our best, but cannot guarantee everything is always error-free or available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage from using the newsletter.

10. Changes

We may adjust these terms. We’ll let you know of important changes.

11. Disputes and which law applies

Dutch law applies to these terms and to your subscription.

Can’t work it out together? Email us first. Usually we resolve it that way. If not, you can bring the dispute before the competent Dutch court. As a consumer you may bring the dispute before the court in your own place of residence.
