What is Dataset?

A dataset is a collection of data that belongs together, for example to train or test an AI.

A dataset can be all sorts of things: a table of sales figures, a folder of photos, or thousands of sample texts. In AI a dataset is often the basis: the examples a model learns from or is tested on. The cleaner and fairer the dataset, the more reliable the result.

What this means for you

You will meet the term as soon as the talk turns to AI quality. Junk in usually means junk out.
