What is Copilot?

Copilot is Microsoft's AI assistant that works alongside you in programs like Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.

Copilot is Microsoft's name for AI built into your familiar Office programs. It can draft an email in Outlook, summarize a long thread or make a first draft in Word. You give the gist, the tool turns it into tidy text. It often comes with a paid subscription.
