What is AI phishing?
AI phishing is scam messages made with AI, which makes them more convincing and more personal than before.
Phishing is a fake message that tempts you to click, log in or pay. AI makes those messages better: flawless English, the right tone, sometimes aimed at you personally. A fake email from 'the bank' or 'a colleague' is therefore harder to spot. AI can even fake a voice or a video.
The old tip 'watch for spelling mistakes' no longer works. Trust the content: does the request make sense, is the channel right, and when in doubt check through a route you know yourself.
Put precisely
AI does not change what phishing is after (a click, a login or a payment), but it does change how convincing it sounds: correct language, your name, the right tone.
Common misconception
That you can spot it from spelling mistakes. Those are gone now.
