Can you put data into AI? AI and privacy
Sample lesson from the Entrepreneurs Learning curve, "What you put in, and what you do not".
Whatever you type or upload into an AI tool goes to a company, often abroad. With many free tools it can be used to train their model further. For a general question that is fine. But customer names, addresses, citizen service numbers (BSN), price agreements or a quote with details do not simply belong there. If you have staff, this applies to your employees too: agree which data nobody puts into a free tool. As the employer you stay responsible for what your team pastes in.
Make a short list: what is "safe to share" (general questions, your own ideas) and what is "only anonymously" (customer names, amounts, personal data). Keep it next to you until it becomes a habit.
This lesson appears in the newsletter at three levels, Starter, Practical and In-depth. Same explanation, more or less detail; switching is free.
