Scammers now call using the copied voice of someone you know and ask for an urgent payment.
Criminals use AI more and more to copy voices and even make fake videos. They pretend to be a manager or someone you know and ask you to transfer money fast. Even checks by video or voice, which banks long thought were safe, can no longer be trusted. The only safe rule: always confirm such a request through a separate channel that you already know.

Never based on just a text, email, voice, or video. If you have staff, agree this with your team too. One employee who pays without thinking costs you the money.
AI from Anthropic accidentally got into three real companies
Anthropic tested its Claude models and found that a fault in the test environment gave them internet access anyway. The models got access to systems of three real companies without being asked. One model even put malicious software online. Anthropic warned the companies involved and is working on stricter tests.
