The Entrepreneurs edition
The AI news of that week, in plain language.
This week: AI that finishes your work by itself, new rules you have to follow, and scammers who sound more real every time.
ChatGPT is now coming to the small business owner too
OpenAI is starting a programme just for small businesses, with free guidance and an assistant that does multi-step work by itself.
On 21 July 2026 OpenAI launched the programme 'ChatGPT for Small Businesses'. You get free webinars, practical guides, and links with partners like Shopify and Intuit. It centres on ChatGPT Work: an assistant that carries out tasks like budget analysis, marketing material, and meeting prep by itself. The newest model, GPT-5.6, is now in all plans, including the free one.
Background for subscribersYou do not have to take out a plan right away. GPT-5.6 is now in the free version too. This week, pick one task you normally do on autopilot, for example a quote text or a tidy customer email, and let the assistant make a first draft. Then work it back: how much time does this save you per week? Only once you hit a limit is paying worth considering.
ChatGPT Pro gets new prices: pick the plan that fits
OpenAI reshuffled the prices in July 2026. The fixed Pro rate is gone. Pro is now $100 per month (5x use) or $200 per month (20x use). The cheap Go tier went from $6 to $8 per month. Business costs €20 per user per month on a yearly basis.
