Housing landlord Heimstaden uses AI from OpenAI in four steps of renting out a vacant home: price advice, ads, checks and market feedback.
Heimstaden uses AI to rent out homes, and one staged photo costs less than 10 cents
Housing landlord Heimstaden lets AI from OpenAI help whenever a home becomes vacant. The AI helps with four steps: price advice, listings with staged photos and texts, checks of listings, and feedback from the market. Employees stay responsible and approve the decisions.
The biggest difference is in the photos. In the Netherlands, the price of a virtually staged home photo fell from about €50 to less than €0.10. That is more than 99% less. In the Netherlands alone, Heimstaden sees a possible saving of €130,000 per year. Heimstaden and OpenAI report these figures themselves.
What does this mean for you? If you work for a landlord or property manager, you can see what a large company already does when a home is vacant. Staged photos, listing texts and price advice can be faster and cheaper with AI. The article says nothing about smaller offices. So do not automatically expect the same savings.

Gemini now creates and edits files in the chat. But not everything works on every device. You can view and edit PDFs on mobile and on the web. Google Docs, Sheets, presentations, Markdown, TXT and code files only work on the web for now. Do you mainly work on your phone? Then a PDF is your only choice right now. For the other files, use the web version.
