Office management edition
This week: your AI assistant takes over more tasks, but scammers are getting smarter too. So stay alert.
Copilot now finishes jobs from start to end
Microsoft launches Copilot Cowork worldwide: you describe a task, and the assistant delivers it.
Microsoft has now made Copilot Cowork available everywhere. The difference with regular Copilot: this system plans, carries out, and delivers fully finished work. Not just a concept or a tip, but the job itself. It works with your company data through Work IQ. You pay per use, with Copilot Credits. Admins can track costs in a dashboard in the admin centre, and Microsoft Purview watches over security.
Background for subscribersCowork can handle a recurring task from A to Z: think of preparing a report or drafting a series of messages based on your own data. That saves you back-and-forth emailing. But the tool does not know your context: that a meeting is sensitive, or that a director is never free on Friday afternoon. Double-check what it has done the first few times, and keep an eye on costs since you pay per use.
Copilot gets eyes: show a document or chart and ask your question
In July, Microsoft is rolling out 'Vision' for Microsoft 365 Copilot. You can show a dashboard, document, or error message through your phone camera or your screen, and ask questions about it out loud. Copilot combines what it sees with your work and web information and gives an explanation plus next steps.
